Rathcline GAA Club Membership 2005

Home

Club Membership is now due for the 2005 season, which presently costs: Adult - €20 and Student - €10.

In conjunction with your registration the Club wishes to take this opportunity to notify you of existing insurance related issues involved with every GAA Club. Each player has the opportunity to join the following schemes:

1. The GAA Players injury Scheme:

Upon registration each player becomes a member of this scheme. This injury scheme does not seek to compensate fully for injury but to supplement other Schemes. Ultimately the responsibility to ensure that adequate cover is in place lies with the individual member.

2. The GAA Voluntary Players Injury Scheme:

This is optional insurance cover and is intended to supplement the benefits under the existing injury scheme. This brings the maximum benefits for Medical and Dental expenses to € 5,100 and up to €510 per week for 52 weeks for Loss of Wages (depending on the period of disability and not exceeding normal basic net pay). Currently under Rathcline GAA Club Rules no player is eligible for expenses (medical or other) unless they are first Club members.

The club would also advise players to avail of the increased insurance cover available through the 'The GAA Voluntary Players Injury Scheme'. A full list of benefits of 'The GAA Voluntary Players Injury Scheme' over 'The GAA Voluntary Players Injury Scheme' can be obtained by contacting any of the following:

Club Registrars: Mark Casey, Peter Skelly

Club Secretary: Denis Crinnigan

Any Executive Members:

The cost of gaining this extra insurance is: Adult - €25 , Youth - €12.50 (excluding Loss of Wages cover).
